Colleen wrote her first book when she was ten years old. Back then... she loved horses, candy bars, Saturday morning cartoons, playing baseball in the church parking lot and her favorite color was purple. She disliked tangles in her hair, spinach and getting up in the morning for school. She daydreamed about what she would be like when she grew up and she always knew she would be an artist. Today...she loves kids, eating spinach, a Saturday night movie, playing tennis with her friends and her favorite color is all of them! She dislikes laundry, sushi and balancing her checkbook. Colleen daydreams about writing & illustrating books that make children laugh and loves being an artist. Colleen lives in a town just outside Buffalo, New York with her two daughters and their pet hamster, Felix. She graduated from the University of Buffalo with a BFA in Communication Design. She worked in the advertising field as an art director / illustrator and eventually became a creative director. Colleen has been writing and illustrating children's books part-time for the last seven years. She loves what she is doing and someday hopes to become a full-time author / illustrator.
